Sounds Live plans Music Man guitar clinic

Sounds Live, a retailer in Newcastle upon Tyne, will be hosting a Music Man guitar clinic on July 30th.

The guitar brand’s own demonstrator, Jamie Humphries, will be giving demonstrations throughout the day in the shop’s guitar department and as no ticket is required, visitors have been urged to simply turn up in order to take part.

Humphries has been a professional session player for over 15 years and his playing has been featured on Sky Movies, the 2006 World Cup and Winter Olympics and a long list of other televised shows. He also has a regular video column on Lick Library and has performed with the likes of Steve Lukather, John Petrucci, Vinnie Moore, Richie Kotzen, Pat Torpey and Albert Lee.

“We’re really excited about Jamie’s visit to Sounds Live,” said the store’s head of guitars, Mark Taylor. “A great player and a fantastic range of guitars, what a day it should be.”

Sounds Live – an independent family-owned business run by ex-professional musicians – opened as a specialist High Street music store in central Newcastle in 1991.

The shop is situated at: 27-29 Dean Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 1PQ.

Strings & Things is the UK distributor for Music Man.
