The North East Guitar Show will take place on Sunday 28th October at Newcastle Racecourse and is the latest in NGS' line-up of popular small-scale regional guitar events.
The event is sponsored by John Hornby Skewes, J G Windows, Fret-King Guitars, Guitar Trader, Vintage Guitars, H K Audio and Wienbrock Amps. A live stage will feature the Gav Coulson group playing Vintage and Fret King Guitars as well as jazz-swing guitarist Anth Purdy, sponsored by Wienbrock Amps.
Organiser, Peter Hoarty, said: "We have been looking for a venue for a new Show in the North East for some time and our experience with Aintree and Haydock Park has shown us that racecourses are an ideal setting for guitar shows with easy exhibitor load-in, plenty of space, good catering and free parking. As soon as we visited Gosforth Park we knew that it ticks all the boxes and has the potential to be as big and successful as the well established North West and Merseyside Shows we have been running for many years."
The show is an opportunity to buy, sell and trade new, vintage and second hand guitars, amps, effects and accessories. There will be bargains and special show deals. Free appraisals of instruments and amps will be available.
It will also have a licensed bar and refreshments and free parking. Admission is £6 on the door.
