American accessories manufacturer Mono Cases and UK-based Nomad PLC have created Nomo, "a new concept in portable instrument protection."
Nomo is a flight case designed to work as a hard-shell cocoon for the standard Mono instrument case. It offers solid aluminium extrusions, steel ball corners, a recessed carry handle and padlock-ready butterfly catches.
It is constructed from a 7mm-thick sheet with a honeycomb core structure and, according to the two companies, Nomo is lighter, but has greater impact absorbing capabilities than other flight cases. Prices start at £279.
Madison & Fifth is the UK supplier for Mono Cases.
