At this month's MIRC, a number of Event Partners will be holding short, focused seminars for retailers through the afternoon. Two strands of sessions will take place concurrently, with all sessions taking place in the Vaults on the lower floor of The Brewery. The timetable is as follows:-
2.00pm: Audio Technica
Audio-Technica senior UK marketing manager Harvey Roberts sets out the brand’s strategy to help MI retailers attract non-MI customers into their stores during the Christmas 2011 ‘gifting period’. Exciting opportunities exist during the festive season to encourage footfall from new customers, and Roberts will reveal how Audio-Technica will assist retailers in targeting specific groups and expanding their customer base this Christmas.
2.45pm: Avid/Computers Unlimited
Avid will be offering you the opportunity to experience the latest from their award-winning Pro Tools®, Artist Series, M-Audio®, and Torq® product lines. Come and see how these industry-leading tools deliver the flexibility and quality your customers require. Pioneer will present its SDJ-05 and 08 powered speakers to MI dealers in this session, to be followed by an open discussion to evaluate how the speakers fit with retailers' product portfolios - and what potential there is to expand sales of these products into the broader MI channel.
Allianz will discuss what is Musical Instrument Insurance, how it makes your shop better, what's in it for retailers and the firm will also provide a testimonial from a reputable MI retailer. There will be the opportunity for questions from the floor, too.
2.45pm: TC Group International
Steve Russell, VP of International Sales - MI for TC Group International, will discuss the benefits of being a TC dealer and stocking guitar effects and bass amplification products that not only innovate but are in demand with end users. There will also be a presentation on the new TC-Helicon vocal processing products and a discussion on the opportunities that MI dealers may be missing out on in the growing vocal category.
Yamaha's music schools education manager Nigel Burrows will talk to dealers about the company's impressive educational programme. These initiatives take in schools and the wider education market, with Burrows revealing the exciting projects Yamaha is piloting.
Lamba's managing director Gerry Frost and sales director Denis Phoenix will be present a session entitled ‘Profitable new areas of business for MI retailers'.
