Summer NAMM 2012 saw a nine per cent increase in exhibitor numbers and a 20 per cent rise in retail buyers compared to last year's figures.
In total, 372 exhibitors were in attendance at Nashville Convention Center from July 12th to 14th, including 75 newcomers.
“We're grateful to the Members who invested their time and money to be participate in Summer NAMM," said Joe Lamond, president and CEO of NAMM. “In spite of the continuing economic challenges, these folks are not sitting on the sidelines waiting for things to get better, but instead seizing the opportunity to increase their competitive advantage as we head into the fall and holiday selling season."
Over 100 retailers arrived in Nashville a day early for NAMM’s inaugural Retail Boot Camp. Retail Expert Bob Negen led an all-day educational session, which offered practical business planning, marketing and other business advice tailored specifically for independent music instrument and product dealers.
Next up on the NAMM Show calendar is the Winter event in Anaheim, California, on January 24th to 27th 2013. Badge registration gets underway on September 19th 2012.
