TC Electronic introduces Ditto X2 Looper

The Ditto X2 Looper

TC Electronic's new addition to the Ditto Looper line comes with a number of extras, in addition to its original feature set.

New effects pedal succeeds the firm’s original Ditto Looper unit.

TC Electronic has added to its effects pedal line-up with the Ditto X2 Looper.

The new pedal succeeds the firm’s original Ditto Looper, boasting a number of additional features, including a stereo I/O and a two-button UI, which allows for a dedicated stop/clear footswitch and a button for effects. The FX button enables guitarists to trigger two types of loop effects; reverse and ½ speed.

Meanwhile, the Ditto X2 Looper  has been designed to allow for the import and export of loops on both PC and Mac. It can also run backing tracks, keeping performance essentials in one place.

As with its predecessor, the new pedal also features the same true-bypass, analogue dry-through design, ultra-small footprint and 24 bit uncompressed audio, along with five minutes of looping time, unlimited overdubs and undo/redo functionality.

Tore Mogensen, business manager for TC Electronic, commented: “Looking back, we knew we had something special with Ditto Looper, but nothing could have prepared us for the runaway success we’ve experienced since launch. What we’re trying to do with Ditto X2 Looper is basically continue on that wave, while adding some of our renowned innovational spirit after hearing feedback from the guitar community. I’m not a fortune teller or anything, so I’m not looking into a crystal ball, but I’ll tell you this: Looping just got even more exciting and I can't wait to see this reflected in live performances around the world."

The Ditto X2 Looper is available for RRP £145.
